I understand what you're saying, especially in regards to Friends being a show exclusively about well-off white people.

That show's fantasy was about a specific stratum of society and it was meant for a specific stratum, even though in the last few years it has become popular with all-new audiences.

But by every metric -- from ratings to gossip to streaming popularity -- Friends was a titanic hit and if you're reading a pop culture blog, I think it's safe to assume you, at least, know about Friends.

I'm not a huge fan of Friends. I didn't like it then and I have barely watched it over the last 20 years.

My suggesting you're from a different dimension or planet isn't presumption, it was just cheeky sarcasm, like most of the blog post.

Friends was huge, whether you like it or not, whether you watched it or not.
